My triathlon inventory.

In honor of of the late, great George Carlin today’s Friday article is devoted to Stuff. To anyone not interested in endurance sports or triathlon, Carlin’s Obverse Rule applies, where one person’s Stuff is another man’s Shit.

I’ve been doing endurance sports for three years and in that time I’ve amassed a lot of stuff. In the past year alone I’ve exponentially increased the amount of stuff masquerading as necessary gear. The truth is that I don’t need this much stuff, and I’m shocked by how much of this list is redundant. It’s been a process of trying things until finding something that works, and it’s time that I purge the stuff that doesn’t serve me anymore. For now, at least, here is the current inventory:

  1. You always had expensive taste/habits/passions. But I’ve seen your home, where do you store it all?

  2. Hi there,

My name is Karen Allard and I am the president of SBR SPORTS INC. Thanks for listing TRISLIDE as a “must have on your list. “I just wanted you and your readers to know that not only does it work extremely well on easing entries and creating wicked fast T1 times, BUT, runners have gotten a hold of it and are spraying it on their feet to completely prevent hot spots and blisters!!!! Also, sales in the cycling world are so great (cyclists use it to eliminate that dreaded saddle sore and chafing), that we will be at Interbike this year highlighting TRISLIDE. Please check out our site at http://www.tri-swim.com or http://www.sbrsportsinc.com. Thanks for the great mention! -KAREN
